March 27, 2008 News Update Hi everyone! I am happy to say that 2008 is off to a great start!
We have had a lot of great new additions to the program since our last update, and I am excited to say that there will be more to come. Big
congratulations are in order to Megan Manning on the purchase of her amazing new purebred Arabian gelding, Fortunes Fate (aka Peanut). We are all so excited to see how far these two will go... Keep an eye out for them in the ribbons at the upcoming A shows in both sport horse and
hunter pleasure! Congratulations also go out to Lauren Scillo on her new pony, Spotty Ike! Ike is a sweet little POA hunter and we are delighted to have him out at the barn.
Last for now but definitely not least, SHA welcomes Moonlighting Tramp (aka Rhett) as the newest addition to our phenomenal group of lesson horses. Rhett is a gorgeous grey
purebred Arabian gelding and will be used for both western and hunt seat lessons. He will also be competing in hunter pleasure at the A shows with Heather Martin. Look for his bio soon!
On another positive note, huge thanks go out to everyone who participated in the Spring Break Day Camp this year! With a record number of campers, we had a lot of fun and can't wait for summer to try to top it!
Please click the home page link for registration information if you would like to sign your camper up. Also, there is now a home page link
for our online merchandise store. We have tees, tanks, hats and other fun stuff available that can conveniently be ordered directly from the site. Show your SHA spirit at the barn or the shows!
I want to wish the best of luck to all of the girls who will be competing next week at Beat the Heat in Buckeye. Megan, Veronica, Heather and Shawna, I know you all are going to ROCK the JTR hunter and western classes! I am very proud to have all of you
representing the SHA team out there, not to mention Rhett, Peanut, Fortune, Beck and Barney. What an awesome group of girls and ponies! On a final note, I would just like to say
that Artica will be greatly missed. A wonderful horse who was deeply loved, he could not have had a better family to care for him and our sympathies are with them now. I wish that all horses could be surrounded with as much love and compassion as he was when they reach the trail's end.
Thanks again to everyone and keep checking back for updates... Take care!
